In our continued series of updates coming out of CES, Acer has just unveiled two new monitors, one super thin, the other with USB-C connectivity.

Up first we have the Acer R1 Series, which for the record is the worlds thinnest, slimmest monitor that measures just 7mm. The R1 Series monitors sports a ZeroFrame design which gives you plentiful display real estate, right along with 5-15 degrees adjustable tilt, an added blue light filter to reduce eye fatigue. The display resolution is 1920 X 1080.

The R1 Series monitors will have various measurements 21.3 inches, 23 inches and 24 inches. Price is affordable for the budget conscious consumer at $130.

Like its brethren, the R1 Series, the H7 Series sports a ZeroFrame design with diamond cut and brush metal stand adding sleekness to the overall monitor. Other features I should mention are its very crispy WQHD 2560 X 1440 resolution, packing some added audio tech that includes TrueHarmony and DTS sound. It will have HDMI 2.0 support, with 100 percent coverage of sRGB color space.

Consumers will have available choices in a 25-inch and 27-inch monitor, this model is a bit pricey at $500, market availability is expected to happen next month.

On the high end side of the spectrum, Acer has announced the XR Series monitor, the XR342CK will be a monstrous 34-inch UltraWide Display with a super crispy resolution measuring in at 3440 x 1440, with a 21.9 aspect ratio, and a 1900R curvature structure.

Like the other models, the XR342CK will have a nice thin panel that will deliver 100 percent display coverage of sRGB color space. It will also feature 6 axis color adjustment, DTS Sound, PIP and picture by picture support. The base of the monitor can swivel -30 to +30 degrees.

Built specifically for gamer's wielding an AMD Radeon graphic card, the XR342CK will support AMD's own FreeSync technology which will eliminate tearing from video games. There's no confirm timetable of the monitors market availability, there will be gradual regional roll outs with a $1,190 pending price point.
