Over the past few weeks there have been several publications circulating reports around the web of heated rumors of Sony releasing a PlayStation 4.5 console, admittedly I have not taken these rumors seriously, that is until now.
It seems as though Sony the company that makes just about everything tech are expected to announce the PlayStation 4.5 prior to the launch of PlayStation VR which will take place in October, this is according credible information reported in the Wall Street Journal.
Currently the PS4 that I own cannot output 4K video, it can't even read 4K Blu-ray discs. With the new beefed up system, the PS4.5 will achieve such feats.
According to the Wall Street Journal report, there will not be a powerful processor but an upgraded GPU. This upgrade will boost PS4.5 capability to handle virtual reality games,you see where this is all going? Keyword virtual reality, which is the next generation gaming. Also in the report there is claims that the PlayStation 4.5 will share software catalog with two year PlayStation 4.
Holiday 2016 is the expected launch of PlayStation 4.5, there is no reported pending price. Stay tune.....
