Does The 45 W Anker 313 wall charger actually charge devices fast? Lets find out

The Anker wall chargers are highly regarded and often voted as the best on the market. I own Anker's 45W model and can confirm its performance. However, I am curious whether it truly fast-charges devices as claimed. I intend to investigate this further and determine an accurate time for how quickly devices are charged.

Before the test, here's what you need to know about the 45 W charger

Anker's 45W wall charger is quite versatile, featuring a USB Type-C connector. It effectively charges a range of devices, including headphones, tablets, smartphones, smart watches, and laptops. It’s compatible with modern devices that support quick charging, especially those from Samsung, Apple, and the Google Pixel smartphone series. The charger's ability to handle multiple device types makes it a valuable addition to anyone's tech accessories.

Let’s Put The 45W Charger to The Test

I'm using my Anker 313 45W charger for the Test. The charging cord is Anker's own USB-C 100W, which should improve the quick charging experience. The device I'm charging is the 5th Gen iPad Air. I expect the combination of the charger and the cord to enhance the charging efficiency. This setup is designed to maximize the iPad Air's quick charging capabilities.

Lets begin the Test.

I started charging this iPad, which has 24% battery life left, at around 8:40 PM EDT.

Ten minutes later, the iPad Air battery life has climbed to 40% while charging.

Fifteen minutes into the charging process, the iPad Air is now at 52%.

Thirty minutes later, the iPad Air is at 79%.

After a total of 40minutes of charging (give or take a few minutes), the iPad Air reaches 91%.

It’s worth noting that I ended this testing at 91% to prove a point: the Anker 313 45W wall charger does indeed charge devices quickly, primarily due to the use of Gallium Nitride material, which means the charger runs cooler and charges faster. I started the charging process at 8:40 PM EDT, and it ended around 9:20 PM EDT. This was a random test I decided to conduct outside the studio, so please excuse the background.

With that said

I can’t speak highly enough of Anker’s charging devices. The Anker 313 45W wall charger, in particular, excels in both performance and portability. It supports USB-C power delivery and Super Fast Charging 2.0, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices, while GaN technology keeps it compact and efficient. The question that begs answering is, did this test satisfy my curiosity? The answer is yes. The combination of Anker’s wall charger and USB-C charging cable charged my iPad Air incredibly fast.
