Leaks and Rumors: The Latest Leak Reveals Significant Changes to iPhone 17 Pro Design

Circulated rumors and leaks about the next-generation iPhone have become common practice months before the device is launched. The latest leak includes rendered images of the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro, which showcase significant design changes. High-resolution images shared by well-known leakers indicate a relocation of the famous Apple logo. This adjustment aims to accommodate a revamped MagSafe charging ring. I anticipate that this is just the first of many leaks to come regarding the iPhone 17 Pro.

According to an industry insider, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to undergo significant design changes. One notable change is the elongated camera bump, which will nearly span the width of the smartphone. Unlike previous models, the camera design will set it apart. Additionally, the LIDAR scanner and flash feature will be moved to the right side of the device. These updates indicate a shift in design focus for Apple's upcoming release.

The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to feature an aluminum frame that surrounds the camera bump, resembling the design of the iPad Pro. The configuration allows for a distinct separation of materials and design elements. Positioned below the camera bump is the glass portion of the smartphone. This design choice enhances both aesthetics and functionality. The placement of the glass facilitates efficient wireless charging.

There will also be a significant change to the iconic Apple logo. The signature bitten apple is no longer centered in its traditional spot. Instead, it will now be repositioned to the center of the new glass, appearing lower on the back of the smartphone. The shift of the logo has led to a redesign of the MagSafe magnet array. With this redesign, the iconic logo will remain invisible to users through the clear cases, framed by the MagSafe array.

Rumors suggest that there will be external changes to the iPhone 17 Pro. It is believed to feature a significant hardware upgrade, including the next-generation A19 Po chip and 12GB of RAM, which enhances processing power and energy efficiency. This upgrade is expected to improve performance across demanding games and iOS applications. The Pro models are also rumored to feature a trio of 48-megapixel rear cameras capable of capturing 8K video, as well as a new 24-megapixel front camera. These enhancements are designed to provide symmetry and improved stability when the phone is placed on a hard surface.

The battery is said to be the largest to date implemented into the iPhone, boasting 5,000mAh capacity. This could extend the battery life beyond 35 hours, up from 33 hours on the 18 Pro Max.

If Apple sticks to traditional scheduling, expect the iPhone 17 to launch this September.
