Phillips Announces a New insane 1000Hz refresh rate Dual-Mode Gaming Monitor

Phillips has just announced the Evnia 27M2N5500XD gaming monitor, with a groundbreaking 1000Hz refresh rate, an industry first. The monitor is designed specifically for top-tier competitive gaming, offering extreme fluid motion and eliminating blur in fast-paced gaming titles.

The Full operation of the monitor will use a distinctive Dual-Mode system, allowing users to prioritize either resolution or raw speed.  In Competitive Mode, users will achieve a 1000Hz refresh rate at a lower 720p HD resolution. While in Balance Mode, the monitor can deliver native 1440p QHD resolution at a still-respectable 500Hz refresh rate.

Key Features of the Phillips Evnia 27M2N5500XD gaming monitor will include a Fast IPS Panel, which provides a 2000:1 contrast ratio, significantly higher than your standard IPS panel, which is said to offer deeper blacks and better color depth.

The Rapid Response features a 1ms GtG response time and a 0.3ms Smart MBR (acronym for Motion Blur Reduction) mode, ensuring crisp images during quick movements. Color Accuracy is touted as professional-grade, with a Delta E of 1, and covers up to 90% of the DCI-P3 color space, making it suitable for content creation and gaming.

The Evnia 27M2N5500XD has already launched in some markets including China, priced at approximately $720, with the global launch expected very soon. Stay tuned.
