Did you know that it is possible to take snaphot pictures, and then focus or blur the image after you've taken the picture, without the use of any image editing software such as Photoshop? Well now it is possible.A company called Lytro Inc has just revealed to consumers a new light field camera, which will introduce a new way to take and experience pictures. The new Lytro light field camera captures all the rays of light in a scene, something you don't see in unconventional cameras. This camera will have the ability to focus pictures after it's taken. This camera which fits right inside your pockets will offer 8x optical zoom and f/lens,will create interactive "living pictures" that will have endless ability to refocus its image. The camera will be available in two models and three different colors, starting at a price point of $399.

The main technology behind Lytro camera is a light field sensor that collects the colors intensity and directs every light ray flowing into the camera, capturing a scene in four dimensions, this will allow users to let people capture a scene in an instant. The light field engine that is within the camera will allow photo takers to refocus pictures right directly on the camera. When Lytro live pictures are shared on the Internet, the light field engine will travel with each image so anyone can interact with the photo on nearly any device, including web browsers, mobile devices and tablets without having to download any specialized software.

To be able to read the photo, you have to have a customize application, which at this moment only available on the Mac platform, the Windows version is currently still in the development stage.Lytro cameras will come in two different storage capacities, 8GB and 16GB, which will store 350 and 750 pictures respectively.Added to the uniqueness of this camera, users will have free storage for light-field pictures that they uploaded to Lytro's website.

If you go on Lytro website right now you can see sample pictures and its refocus technology,go on and check it out.
