File-It-Under: Silent upgrading!~
Did anyone know that there was going to be a upgrade to Macbook Pro line of laptop? (called notebooks in Apple's world) apparently that's what Apple did today,if you look on their website or just so happen to visit your nearest Apple store you'll notice the MacBook Pro's got a boost in hardware.Apple probably choose this stealthy release because more than likely they didn't want to take the shine away from the newly released iPhone4S and iOS 5 update. Now the upgrade to the hardware is very minor at best, all you'er getting is a bump in processor speed, hard drive capacity and getting a beefier graphic chip. Now to the dismay of many,a vast majority of MacBook owners are wondering when will there be a total change in the overall design, maybe we'll see it in 20112?
Here's a overall configuration of the upgraded MacBook Pro line: The 17-inch MacBook Pro will now include a 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, up from a 2.2GHz Core i7,the 15-inch model include 2.4GHz and a option 2.2GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 / 500GB HDD and 2.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 / 750GB HDD configuration , whereas it was previously shipped with 2.3GHz Core i5 and 2.7GHz Core i7 processors and 320GB and 500GB hard drives.
The graphics will look like this, both the higher end 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pro boast its AMD Radeon HD 6770M graphics with 1GB of GDDR5 memory. The upgrade changes has not affected the price at all,the base prices starts at $1,199 (13-inch) and $2,499 for the 17-inch.
