So here we are,the Samsung Galaxy S 4 which was unveiled last night in NYC at Radio City Music Hall to a much anticipated crowded event.First off before we get into details, its important to know that the GS4 pretty much held truth to the recent image leaks and rumors, much of the Galaxy S 4's upgrade are to hardware.Without wasting your precious reading time, lets head right over to the specs and features.

The Galaxy S 4 packs a punch when it comes to hardware,it has a 2GB of RAM (with a expandable 64GB SD card) and comes with your choices of a 1.6GHz Exynos Octa-core processor or a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcom processor, your processor of choice all depends on your located region. The display features a 5-inch 1080/1920 x 1,080 resolution,a Super AMOLED panel which offers a 441 ppi pixel density and now has the ability to respond to touch with gloves on.

On the camera front, the Galaxy S 4 sports a 13-megapixel BSI camera with a f/2.2 aperture and auto-focus,the front-facing camera get a slight upgrade to a 2 megapixel resolution.Samsung have made claims that both camera features have no shutter lag.Probably the best feature in the camera is the dual-video capture mode, this lets you record video on both cameras simultaneously. In the Dual Video Call mode, you can make video calls and actually show the caller what you are looking at,nice. In addition,Drama shot can utilize burst mode to create animated GIFs,while Sound and Shot can record up to 9 seconds of audio that can accompany a still image.

The physical dimension of the Galaxy S 4 measures at 5.38-inches x 2.75 x 0.31 inches and weighs about 4.59 ounces. At first glance, you probably thinking that the Galaxy S 4 dimension wise is the same as the Galaxy S 3,but actually it's 0.8mm thinner and 3 grams lighter than GS3. Despite the minimal shrinkage of the Galaxy S 4 and somewhat larger screen size, the device manages to encase a 2600mAh battery.

Just like its competitor the HTC One,the Galaxy S 4 will support WiFi 802.11ac and have an a/b/g/n wireless standards, this will come fully equipped  with a IR blaster for a remote control access using Samsung's own WatchON service.Like most smartphones today (Apple not included) the GS4 has the famed NFC chip, also included is a Bluetooth 4.0 +LE connection.

To me the star of the show has to be the "Smart" gesture feature, the Smart Pause can actually stop your video when your eyes drift away from the device. Then there's the Smart Scroll feature where the eyes can move the screen up or down, when you tilt the device you can view the screen the same way.In the Air View feature, your finger can act as a stylus S Pen by giving you a preview of your email calendar. Also I must mention before I end this paragraph, the Galaxy S 4 for now will run the current Android 4.2.2 mobile OS.

The Galaxy S 4 will be made available to market globally in April,it will launch in its basic black and white color scheme, there is no word on pricing but all major carriers including Cricket will get a taste of the Samsung Galaxy experience. Is this smartphone an iPhone killer? All the features I've talked about in this entry will it convince you to drop your iPhone for the Samsung Galaxy S 4? Leave your comment in the box below.
