Right ahead of its Google I/O developers conference that's going to take place in a couple of weeks,Google made the announcement today they are offering 15GB of free storage shared across Google +,Drive and Gmail. This is up from  5GB of free storage which is very generous coming from Google, very very generous. With Dropbox, you get a mere 2GB of free storage, Microsoft SkyDrive users get 7GB, iCloud,Amazon and SugarSync offers 5GB of free storage. The updates will begin the roll out in the coming weeks, the question that needs asking is why? Why is Google being so generous, who knows. The thing is this will for sure make many Google users and non Google users attracted to their cloud based storage service and other services provided by Google.
