From reading various reports from a number of websites,it seems ASUS so far is making a big splash with its products at CES. This particular device though is making some noise,the ASUS Transformer Book Duet TD300. Whats so special about this laptop is it can run both Android and Windows,read it right,two operating systems on the same device which makes it the worlds first Quad Mode laptop.
The laptop measures in at 13.3-inch with Full HD IPS display with multi-touch support,the core hardware specs of the ASUS Transformer Duet goes as follows: 4GB OF DDR3L RAM, up to 128GB SSD is packed in the tablet portion, and up to 1TB of HDD within the dock portion, this is probably the first laptop of its kind to have this type of storage setup.There is no detail on the processing speed of this hybrid device,but it does contain a Core i7 processor. The laptop offers 38Whr and offers a 5 hours of battery power when using Windows 8.1,with Android you can squeeze an extra amount of power with 6 hours of battery power usage.
The connectivity portion of the laptop features your basic setup with a Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11ac WiFi, microSD expansion slot, as well as a power port and headphone audio jack. On the keyboard dock,you get two USB 3.0 port, Ethernet, and HDMI for video-out. The headphones can double as a combo jack for microphone usage.
The real star of the show is the laptops ability to dual-boot two operating system on one laptop with a full version Android and Windows. No info yet on release date of price tag.
