This 1300W Galaxy HOF GH1300 power supply is perfect for RTX 4090 graphics card
New graphics cards, such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX4090, need at least 450W of sustainable power. So if you're going to include it in your next PC build, you'll need a power supply that performs well and meets the wattage requirements. Galax (the company's actual name) has just revealed a Hall of Fame 1300-watt power supply that should meet the power and performance demands of the RTX 4090.
The Galax HOF GH130 is rated for 1300W of nominal power, capable of peaking up to 2600W. A top-tier unit set to compete with MSI Ai1300P rated for 1300W. In addition, Galax PSU is certified for 80Plus Platinum, which the company confirms to be 92% efficient at half the load.
There is a uniqueness that comes with PSU. Firstly, it's designed with overclockers in mind; unlike most ATX3.0/PCIe Gen5 power supply units, this one comes with a 16-pin power connector. Galax will also sell a different version that caters only to the RTX 4090, the only one on the market requiring two cables.
Galax already offers graphics cards. Motherboards, memory, and storage. So launching the power supply is relatively new in the PC market. Unfortunately, the GH1300 power supply is only available on Chinses e-tail outlets at an 1899 RMB ($275) start price, 24% cheaper than MSI Ai1300P. Nevertheless, I'm betting that this power supply unit will appear at CES 2023. We at Tekspecz will bring you full coverage if and when it does.
