The Mobile Pick Of The Week: RoboKiller

The Mobile Pick Of The Week: RoboKiller

Mobile Pick of Week will be a weekly feature on this website where I pick the must-have software for your Android and iOS devices. Without further ado, let's get right to it and christen things off with my pick this week, and that pick is Robo Killer. The name speaks for itself; it kills Robocalls, period. It's probably one of the more effective apps I've ever installed on my smartphone, and it's available for both Android and iOS.

Firstly, how RoboKiller operates is quite simple, it practically works itself. The built-in algorithm as I like to phrase it can accurately distinct Robocalls from legit calls. The dreaded spam calls can be an annoyance and seemingly endless, causing person power down their device, entirely. Though Robokiller is effective at blocking suspected spam calls, it does grant users the option to unblock numbers if phone calls seem legitimate.

For me, the standout feature within RoboKiller is the Answer Bots. It gives a hilarious pre-recorded audio message designed to stop unwanted calls. It tricks unsolicited callers into thinking they're speaking with an actual person, and as long as they believe they are talking to a real person, they can't hang up according to their rules. Answer Bots can occupy spam calls for over 45 minutes. I got tell you, some of these Answer Bot calls are somewhat goofy but funny, but importantly, it’s useful.

So my overall take on RoboKiller is this, it works and works very well. I have one or two phone calls a day as oppose getting an infinite amount of calls from nefarious spammers looking to extract my personal information. Before I end this post, I must inform readers upon installation and setup you must add your phones contact list to the app. You can find RoboKiller from your respective app stores, you can download the free version where you're presented with bloated ads that are attached to the software, or you can do what I did and elect to pay $2.99 freeing yourself from the pesky ads. RoboKiller, it’s a must-have, download it now.
