Acer Unveils The Predator XN2353Q X 240Hz Gaming Monitor With Ultra Fast 0.4ms Response Time
Just recently, AOC unveiled their latest 24.5 and 27-inch gaming monitors that boasts an ultra-fast response times of 0.5ms garnishing positive impressions from yours truly. Acer, which is a rival competitor, does even better by unveiling their Predator XN253Q X 24-inch gaming monitor.
Features on the Predator XN253Q X are certainly on par with the competition when it comes to overall specs having a 1920 x 1080 panel a high 240Hz refresh rate. But where it edges out AOC is its 0.4 second response time which is superbly fast. As claimed by Acer, this allows the monitor to achieve "amazingly accurate game-play even in the fastest action scenes."
Thus far, we have yet to see 1ms response time demonstrated on AOC and Acer gaming monitors. I'm pretty sure some known publication will get hold of these monitors and put them through a battery of tests. So stay tuned.
Aside from the monitor impressively fast response time, Acer also supports NVIDIA G-Sync and has a very high brightness rating of 400 nits.Viewing angles rated at 170 degrees horizontal and a more slightly narrow 160 degrees vertically. The Predator XN253Q X does include a built-in stand that tilts, swivel and pivot, a feature you're likely to see on most high-end monitors. The height adjusts up to 4.5 inches perfect for first-person shooting games.
You'll find HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 connectors on this monitor along with with four USB 3.0 ports for the peripherals. Finally, we have built-in dual 2W built-in speakers.
The Predator XN253Q X will come with 11 black level options right along with black boost and six-color axis adjustments. You'll also find several pre-set display modes that includes Action, Sports, Racing, and Movie. Users can access these modes directly from either the OSD or with hotkeys.
There is no specific timetable as to when Acer will release the Predator XN253Q X gaming monitor to market. According to reports, it will be available to consumers in the coming weeks. Retail price will go for $499.
