Ahead of CES 2026, LG just unveiled its new LG Gram Pro series. Already known for its featherweight designs, the latest iteration features a proprietary aerospace-grade material called Aerominum— a magnesium- aluminum alloy that makes these laptops significantly tougher and lighter than ever before.

Headlining the new laptop series is the LG Gram Pro 17, which is billed as the world's lightest 17-inch RTX laptop. Despite boasting a massive 17-inch screen and a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 GPU, it supposedly weighs just 3 pounds— a form factor usually reserved for much smaller, less powerful machines.

Here's a glance at the full specifications of the new 17-inch LG Gram laptop. It includes the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 (new 50-series) 8GB VRAM and the latest Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) "Lunar Lake" processor. The display options are either WQXGA or OLED panels. And of course, in 2026, in the new age of AI, I can't forget to mention the laptops' "Dual AI" capabilities for both on-device (offline) and cloud-based processing.

By combining military-grade durability with next-gen AI processors and the new RTX 50-series GPU, LG is proving that you don't need to purchase a spec-out system that’s heavy to achieve potent performance. It's worth noting that, according to LG, the GRAM Pro 17 will be exclusive to the US at launch. Stay tuned for more of CES 2026 coverage as new devices, hardware, and even cars are unveiled.
